Welcome to 2022! And by the looks of it another crazy one too! I always like to start the year off with setting my intentions for the business, so I know the direction and goals I want to achieve.
Now before we move forward with intentions however we need to reflect on the year that’s past. Last year had a lot of highs and lows.
Highs have been:
- Starting my home renovation
- Onboarding new amazing clients
- Growth and clarity for the business
- New systems and processes
- Leaving my FULL TIME JOB
- Hosting my first ever workshop alone
- Attending in-person events.
Now for lows there are many but a few are:
- Breaking my leg
- The stress and overwhelm of juggling work and business with the fear on financial income
- Burnout in a few places
However when we look at my intentions from last year this has all been to support these goals and I am now moving into 2022 with a free and happy mind knowing I wasn’t completely off track.
Before we move on to the good stuff of business goals and setting intentions, if you are wanting a resource to help you with this then look no further. Download my goal planning guide now and use this as you read through.
What Are Intentions?
An intention is the purest form of your goal; it’s the thing you want, the goal you desire. Intentions allow you to set the foundations for your goals to be built on. Intentions set the foundation for our goal, and from that place of intention, we can build a plan of action to achieve our goal.
Now How To Set Intentions
When setting your intentions specifically to manifest your business dreams, you must first get clear about what you want to happen in your business this year. There are a few ways I like to start here and this begins with asking yourself WHO and WHY.
- Who are you and what do you do?
- What is your why for you and for others?
Take a moment to really gain clarity on the business you have. Take a moment to dream about your business.
From this we then need to reflect.
- How is your current business meeting these whys?
- How do you want your business to look and feel by the end of year?
To get what you want you must know what you want. For example, how many new clients would you like? What do you want your customers to experience when they encounter your company? What do you want to feel about the business? What’s important to you? What amount of profits would you like to generate daily, weekly, monthly?
And then its for the intentions.
- What do you want from 2022?
- What intentions sum this up?
Below are some words that can support you in selecting your intentions.
- Collaborative
- Communicative
- Confident
- Connected
- Consistent
- Creative
- Direct
- Diverse
- Fun
- Generous
- Giving
- Harmonious
- Impactful
- Income-generating
- Innovative
- Intentional
