Website copy doesn’t follow strict word counts – the length of your copy depends on the specific page, the purpose of that page, the audience and the SEO goals of that page. Generally, a single web page of SEO copywriting will never be fewer than 300-400 words, so that Google has enough content to sink its teeth into, but might be as many as 1,000-1,500 if there’s a lot to say on a specific page!

You can! And if you’re confident with writing, it’s definitely an option.

But remember – there’s a whole lot more to successful web copy than just the words! You’ll need to consider SEO, your audience, your goals, your user experience, your user journey, your competitors, your website’s purpose… and the list goes on.
